Learning to drive is I'm sure you will agree, one of the most important skills you will learn during your life and you've probably been counting the days down to when you can get started, so choosing the right instructor from the very start is an important decision to make.

Driving lessons are a big commitment both in time and money, you'll have certain expectations when you start such as learning with an instructor who will be professional, patient, flexible in his teaching methods, explain things clearly whilst listening to your point of view and of course teach you to drive and prepare you for test within a realistic timescale and budget. Learning to drive should be fun! One thing I never forget when I'm teaching is to make each lesson enjoyable and hopefully memorable!

Of course learning to drive is a serious business but no one said you can't have fun at the same time, just remember you're going to spend a few months having lessons so make sure you don't get that sinking feeling each time your lesson comes around!

click to enlargeAs far as length of lessons are concerned, I like to keep that flexible depending on your budget and timescale. 2 hour lessons enable you to progress quicker but I appreciate that's not always possible so I'm more than happy to do 1 hour lessons or 1 and 1/2 hour lessons if that suits you better. Lessons are always on a 1-2-1 basis and I'll pick you up and drop you off in a location that's convenient to you. If you passed your test a while ago and haven't driven for a while, maybe you've been away at university or just haven't had the need to drive since passing, I'm on hand to build your confidence and get you back behind the wheel with refresher lessons to suit your needs.
